 177-1. 1963 Cape Cod 17' catboat. Up for sale is a really great 17' catboat. Plywood with glass over, built by the Cape Cod Co. Ready to go with sail (Marconi rig) and sail cover. Comes with custom trailer with new electric wiring, good tires. Boat is ready to drop in the water and enjoy. Bronze Hardware, Nav lights.  177-13. Blackwatch 18' gaff cat. You don't have to take my word for it, but this is one heck of a sailing boat. Back in the '70s I designed and built a 50' cutter yawl See you tube "Sail the Daedalus" a 6 minute aerial video. Ok, to Blue Water Manufacturing, Amarillo, Texas. Blackwatch 18. They fabricated 80 Blackwatch 18' cutters and on the same wide full keel hull they custom built only one Blackwatch 18' gaff cat, Then closed shop because of illness. The full keel draws 24". There is no cumbersome center board and no barn door rudder is necessary. There is lots of equipment including a 6 hp Tohatsu 4 stroke, long shaft Sail Pro.  177-20. 1980 William Garden cat-rigged sloop. The H. Daniel Hayes is a moulded fiberglass cat-rigged sloop built to a good standard from a classic design by famous marine architect, Bill Garden. Built in 1980 by Boyds Boats, in Sidney, B.C.. She is 23 feet water length and 26 overall with a ten foot beam. Displacement 6,000 lbs, ballast 1,400 lbs. Centreboard is fiberglass with bronze straps. She is nicely finished with varnished red cedar deckhead, cabinside and bulkheads, and melamine finish on cabin sole. The boat is strongly built and nicely finished inside and out. The eleven hp diesel inboard Kubota engine is clean and enclosed to the port side with sound proofing, and fueled by a twelve gallon aluminum tank. Steering is by means of wheel or autopilot. She has fully battened ‘marconi’ mainsail, 480 sq ft., with sail cover, with two rope reefs, a storm trysail and drifter. The tapered aluminum, painted mast is 42 ft from water. The boom hangs beyond the stern and above the stainless steel and canvas canopy over large cockpit, and dinghy on a davit. She has a forepeak locker, bulkhead and large salon with settee berths port and starboard and navigation chart and GPS station to port, drop leaf table on the centreboard trunk. The galley has both a fisherman #1 wood stove and a two burner ‘alcohol’ cooker, sink and pump tap above water tank. Ship to shore radio, and Danforth anchor.  177-50. 1969 Marshall 22 catboat. Morning Star For Sale. It is with great sadness that we must part with our lovely boat who has shared with us such beautiful sunsets. She is one of the originals. We are the third owner in 50 years. The first was Peter Wells, the cartoonist of Cats and Jammers fame, who named her Aunt Gladys. Her second owner, Joe Lechleiter, named her Channel Cat and brought her to port on Long Island in 1976. We brought her home to Padanaram and Marshall Marine’s good care in 2010. She is a charming boat with a wooden engine cover, prism lit forward hatch, oak mast hoops, enclosed head and lots of bright work and brass. 96 Westerbeke diesel engine, 96 sail, sail cover, cockpit awning, vinyl cockpit cushions, danforth and fisherman anchors. Over last seven years, engine, cooling water pump (2015), plumbing, tiller arm, transom restored, fuel injector pump rebuilt (2016), second battery installed, mast and spars, cabinsides, cockpit, coaming, toe rail and boot stripe painted and exterior teak cetoled (2015). White hull and beige topsides with teak trim and bronze deck hardware. 7 foot beam allows a generous cockpit with removable cuddy and Andersen automatic bailer. 600 lbs displacement but draws only 7 inches with the centerboard up. Aluminum mast (hinged for trailering), gaff and boom, 145 square foot sail. Molded outboard well in transom with neighboring locker for a fuel tank. Includes EZ Loader roller trailer (provided by Menger). Boat and trailer together weigh under 1,000 lbs. Also includes 1995 2hp Honda outboard (BF model, air cooled). Purchased from the original owner in 2007 and hardly used. Boat, sail and running rigging are all in very good condition. Trailer has surface rust in spots, but is sound and fully functional.  177-56. 1977 Marshall 18' Sanderling. Rare west coast boat - hard to find, owned 20 years, stored under cover, used lightly. Hull excellent, gelcoat buffed and polished. Topsides original buff gelcoat in good shape. Tiller and rudder in good condition. Teak trim very good shape, recent Cetol finish, new bottom paint (Vivid). Cockpit floor refinished. Interior clean, berth cushions good, some fraying of piping. Serviceable cockpit cushions. Single group 27 deep cycle battery for power to navigation lights, provisioned for second battery option. Mast replaced with later, heavier type, with mast hinge. Natural aluminum boom and gaff in good shape, some superficial cosmetic corrosion. Standing and running rigging very good condition, Harken racing style mainsheet system. Cam cleats and standard bronze cleats for topping lift, gaff halyard, and peak halyard. Older well-patched Thurston sail, usable for multiple more seasons. Sail cover worn but still serviceable. Bruce and Danforth anchors with galvanized chain/nylon rode. Exceptional double-axle bunk-style trailer, rebuilt and customized (by owner at his expense of parts and time); was made ready for possible trip to Mississippi Gulf. Boat displacement spec is 2200 lbs, putting tow weight at about 3,000 lbs. New galvanized axles, hubs, springs, and new surge disc brake system (with back-up servo) on both axles, including stainless rotors. Heavy fenders attached to galvanized factory frame have been re-galvanized and better than new. Detachable haul/launch guides attach to fenders. 5 new wheels and tires with zero miles. Heavy-duty swing away tongue, new winch, spare tire rack, and folding tongue wheel/jack. Trailer designed for shallow launch with customized bunks, split in center; rear half easily knocks out at ramp, reducing needed depth for launch. LED lights are new. Cost for new similar trailer would be $6K+. Suzuki 8hp 2 cycle engine, low hours, 6-gallon tank. 8' ash oars with heavy bronze oarlocks on oak blocks with nylon ferrules, allowing calm water rowing standing-up, facing forward.
