Boom crutch length

Can anyone tell me the length of a Sanderling's boom crutch?  I, um, lost mine.

I was at my boat today and measured. 35" total length, the bottom of the boom rides about 2" below the top of the crutch.

My original is likewise 35 inches; however I was always ducking under the boom when in cockpit. I made a new one 42 inches long (40 to notch), and it really opened up the cockpit. Stand on seat when furling sail. Helps to use a couple of guy lines in a seaway, as longer crutch sways with more force.

Thanks for the tip. I have the opposite problem-- I find that I have to take the boom off the crutch and lower it to furl the sail, but on your recommendation, I may cut a longer crutch just to see how it works.
