Yanmar 1gm10 install questions
Hi, I recently purchased a Hermann 17 and have all sorts of projects going on with it. A few members of the CBA have been very helpful with info about my rudder replacement. I am also repowering from the non working Palmer-27 to a yanmar 1gm10 that I am rebuilding. I have a few questions about shaft and prop sizes and am hoping to get in touch with someone with a Hermann 17, ccc 17, sanderling that has a 1gm10 to go over a few things. Anyone with one willing to answer a few questions?

Specifically, i have a 1gm10 with the 2.62 gearbox. Just wondering what prop has worked well with that pushing similarly sized catboat. Also what shaft size? 1" I'd guess but wondering if 3/4". I've run the prop calcs but some tried and tested info would be great. Thanks!

Re: Propellor for 1GM10. Noted that your post is few years old, but I have a similar question. My '94 Sanderling has a 1GM10 with a 1" shaft, a 2.62 box, and a 10x12RH 2 blade propellor. I am thinking of replacing the propellor and found some discrepancies of the size and pitch used in this application. What are other Sanderling-ers using ?
